In the fall of 2005, Deeper Roots Publications won the Home schooling Parent Magazine:
2005 Home schooling Parent Stamp of Approval for Rooted & Grounded, Discovering Our Amazing God, and Discovering Who I Am In Christ.

Years ago, when Howard and Bonnie Lisech home schooled their children, they searched for Bible curriculum, only to find for the most part, fact-based materials. By using this type of curriculum, the couple found that their children acquired a lot of knowledge, but lacked growth in their relationship with God. In turn, this moved the Lisech's to develop curriculum that will touch hearts, and move children from Biblical knowledge, to spiritual application.

"These studies are designed to be thought provoking and to challenge teens to examine their hearts to examine their hearts. These are not 'fill-in-the-blanks' question and answer studies. The questions that are poised will nudge your student to think . . . really think and search his heart, for his answer. Each study also contains sub-studies of unreached people groups throughout the world. These periodic focal points in the studies, challenge students to move their minds and hearts -and the horizons of their prayer time, beyond the comforts of home.

Studies like these are hard to find! This is such a great example of householders who discovered a need while schooling their own children and in turn, worked tirelessly to produce teaching tools so those following behind their footsteps wouldn't face the same difficulty in finding good materials. These are tremendous Bible studies!
